Will Rogers Creek: October 1, 2002 - April 15, 2003

The images in this QuickTime Movie were taken during the testing phase of the Los Angeles County Coastal Monitoring Program from the webcamera on the roof of Will Rogers Headquarters. This shows approximately 1 image per day from October 1, 2002 through April 15, 2003.

The slider bar, above, can be manually moved to adjust the playback either faster or slower. Also, the arrow keys may be used to step through frame by frame. You may need to first click inside the image to make this work.

In its current form, this data is inadequate for proper scientific study, because it lacks date and time information for each image. Tools are being developed to display this data automatically. This is an early "proof of concept" movie, that shows the potential of the network's ability to collect valuable data on beach erosion.
